In this guide, I give an issue date, release location, and a monetary value of what an item is worth to a collector.  This value only applies to an item that is in perfect mint condition, i.e., it has to be factory sealed.  Please refer to my Evaluation Guide for more information.

8. One In A Million

Released as a vinyl LP, Cassette Tape, and CD.  The cassette tape and cd however only feature the fourth release cover and liner.

First Release

This album was released worldwide.  The original album cover boasted the phrases, "Ladies, welcome to the dark ages," and "Wife beating has been around for 10,000 years."  The front of the inner liner also featured a nude blonde.  The back of the liner features the band's photo taken from the back cover of the Live Like A Suicide album, with G Side 1986 beside the album logo above the track list.  The back cover features the original front cover of the Suicide album with the disclaimer that, "This album includes previously released material from the Guns N' Roses EP, Live Like A Suicide, independently released on Uzi Suicide Records."  Again, feminist organizations protested and the band had to change the front cover and liner for re-release in the United States.  This album is the most sought after in the series and is valued at $80.00 (Vinyl LP).

Sellers, please list this album as GN'R Lies! There has been a lot of confusion on Ebay regarding this album being listed as Live Like A Suicide.  For more information on that album, please refer to my Live Like A Suicide Guide.

Axl placed his own sticker on the cover of the album which reads, "Contains language which may be unsuitable for some listeners."

Second Release

The second release, only sent to Europe, did not include the warning label.  Everything else remained the same.  This album is valued at $80.00 (Vinyl LP).

Third Release

The third release was actually the album's re-release in the United States.  The Dark Ages phrase was replaced with "Elephant gives birth to midget."  The Wife Beating phrase was replaced with "Lies * Lies * Lies".  The inner liner features a censorship strip across the woman's breasts.  This album is valued at $75.00 (Vinyl LP).

Fourth Release

The difference with this version is that the warning label sticker was not included and the cover has a beige tone compared to the yellow of the other covers.  The idea was to make the cover look like an old newspaper.  It was only released in Europe.   This album is valued at $75.00 (Vinyl LP).

So there you have it, four different versions of the same album.  The first was released worldwide, the second and fourth only in Europe, and the third was the second official release in the United States.

The cassette tape released worldwide in 1988 is valued at $7.00 (Cassette).
